This Privacy Policy explains how Nine8 Online LLC, doing business as HorseBreederSites.com ("HorseBreederSites," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects personal information. It covers:
- our marketing website, horsebreedersites.com;
- the online portal that subscribing Breeders sign in to; and
- our dealings with horse breeders who subscribe to our service ("Breeders").
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising.
1. Who this policy covers — and who it does not
Our customers are Breeders. We build and host each Breeder's website
at a subdomain of breeder.horse (for example,
yourfarm.breeder.horse).
Each Breeder site is operated by that Breeder, not by us. When you visit a Breeder site or send a Breeder an inquiry, the Breeder decides how your information is used. The Breeder's own privacy policy, linked in that site's footer, applies. We host the site and store inquiries on the Breeder's behalf as a service provider only. We have no direct relationship with Breeder site visitors, and we do not use their information for our own purposes. See Section 5.
2. Information we collect
Information Breeders give us
- Contact and account details: name, farm or business name, email, phone, mailing address, and portal login credentials.
- Billing details: processed by Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Site content: horse names, registration numbers, pedigrees, photos, videos, stud fees, sales listings, and farm information. Breeders own this content (see our Platform Terms of Service).
- Communications: messages you send us, support requests, and your notification preferences, including SMS opt-in.
Information from our marketing website
- Information you submit through a contact or sign-up form, such as your name, email, phone, farm name, and message.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data that our hosting provider logs to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps.
- Essential cookies that keep you signed in to the portal and protect against fraud. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Registry and pedigree information
We get horse registry and pedigree information only from public registry lookups or from what Breeders enter. We do not connect to registry APIs or buy third-party data.
3. How we use information
We use Breeder and prospect information to:
- build, host, maintain, and support Breeder websites and the portal;
- set up accounts, process payments, and send receipts;
- send service notifications, including new-inquiry alerts by email and text;
- respond to questions and provide customer support;
- send occasional product and service updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
We use a Breeder's name, farm, or website in our own marketing only with that Breeder's prior written permission by email.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Replit | Website and application hosting, databases |
| Stripe | Payment processing and billing |
| Business email and productivity tools | |
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI-assisted drafting and formatting of horse information only — for example, horse descriptions and pedigree formatting. We do not send personal information about Breeders or visitors to this service. |
| [SMS provider — to be named] | Delivering text-message notifications to Breeders |
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business. In that case, this policy would continue to protect the information.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for targeted advertising.
5. Breeder site visitors and inquiries
When a visitor submits an inquiry on a Breeder site, the form collects their name, email, optional phone number, and message. The inquiry is:
- stored in the Breeder's portal, and
- sent to the Breeder by email and text notification.
The Breeder controls this information. We process it only to deliver the service to that Breeder. Our staff may access inquiry records only to troubleshoot, maintain, or secure the service. We never use them to market to, contact, or profile visitors. We do not sell or share visitor information with anyone except the Breeder and the service providers listed above.
If you are a visitor with a question or request about your information, contact the Breeder directly. If you contact us instead, we will forward your request to the Breeder.
6. Text messages (SMS)
Breeders can choose to receive text alerts when a new inquiry arrives.
- Message frequency varies with inquiry volume. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop texts at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email info@horsebreedersites.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from all information sharing described in this policy. They will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages on our behalf.
7. Data retention
- Breeder account and content: kept while the account is active. After cancellation, we keep it for a limited period so it can be exported, then delete it, as described in the Platform Terms of Service or your Service Agreement.
- Inquiry records: kept for the Breeder in their portal until the Breeder deletes them or the account is closed.
- Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Marketing inquiries: kept while we are in contact, then deleted when no longer needed.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing email. To do so, email info@horsebreedersites.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within 45 days.
Some state privacy laws give residents additional rights. We will honor valid requests under the laws that apply to us. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. Some states also allow you to contact your state Attorney General.
10. Children
Our services are for business use by adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. United States only
We operate only in the United States. Information is stored and processed in the U.S.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we will notify Breeders by email or in the portal before it takes effect.
